If the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs don’t turn this into some sort of minor league baseball promotion, we’ll be disappointed.

According to SB Nation, Florida State Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Jameis Winston – and current Seminoles outfielder—was issued a citation on Tuesday for shoplifting – wait for it – crab legs from a Publix grocery store in Tallahassee, Fla.

A source inside Florida State’s program told “Tomahawk Nation” that Winston will be fined $30, required to do community service, and will be suspended from the baseball team

“He got an adult civil citation,” a Tallahassee Police source told the site. “If he completes the sanctions it will never show up on his record. They commonly give them to juveniles on first criminal offenses. They are now doing it for minor misdemeanors for adults to lower crime rate.”.

Winston, 20, led Florida State to the national championship earlier this year. He was batting .139 for the Seminoles baseball team this spring, and posted a 1.50 ERA as a relief pitcher.

The Leon County Sheriff’s Office will hold a 2 p.m. press conference later today. For shoplifting. Crab legs.
