When Quinton Porter awoke Sunday morning after Boston College's 28-17 loss to Florida State the night before, his sprained right ankle was throbbing. The quarterback thought there was no way he'd be ready to start tomorrow's game at Clemson. ''To be honest, the next morning I thought I was going to be out for a few weeks," he said.
