Randolph, HC handle Hoyas

Dominic Randolph accounted for four touchdowns and Terrance Gass ran 142 yards and a touchdown to lead Holy Cross to a 38-14 win over Georgetown yesterday in Washington.
Randolph was 25 of 39 for 280 yards and scored the first touchdown for the Crusaders (1-2, 1-0 Patriot League) with a 1-yard run on fourth down. His touchdown came six plays after a Kyle Mushaweh interception - one of five turnovers generated by the Crusaders - gave them the ball at the Hoyas' 23-yard line.
Brett McDermott caught a 14-yard touchdown pass from Randolph in the first quarter and Luke Chmielinski had an 11-yard touchdown reception to cap the opening drive of the second half for Holy Cross.
Two of Randolph's passes were intercepted by linebacker Nick Parrish of the Hoyas (1-3, 0-2), who returned them for touchdowns of 95 and 31 yards.
Bryant 24, Wagner 14 - Jerell Smith rushed for 143 yards on 31 carries and the Bulldogs' defense limited the host Seahawks (2-2) to 219 total yards in helping Bryant (3-2) get its first win over a Division 1 opponent in six tries.
Sacred Heart 28, Marist 16 - Dale Fink threw for 281 yards and three touchdowns as the Pioneers (4-0) defeated the Red Foxes (1-3) in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
Central Conn. 28, Delaware St. 10 - James Mallory ran for 123 yards and a touchdown for his fourth straight 100-yard game, leading the visiting Blue Devils (3-1) past the Hornets (1-2).
Southern Conn. 40, Merrimack 26 - Sophomore John Wiechman rushed for 212 yards and three touchdowns on 43 carries to help the visiting Owls (3-2, 2-1 Northeast-10) hold off the Warriors (2-2, 1-1).
Assumption 16, Saint Anselm 7 - Herbert Woodward scored on a 3-yard run midway through the third quarter and the host Greyhounds (1-3, 1-1 NE-10) hung on to edge the Hawks (0-4, 0-3).
Curry 40, WNEC 7 - Ryan Van De Giesen passed for three touchdowns and ran for another as the Colonels (4-0, 1-0) rolled past the Golden Bears (0-4, 0-1) to extend their New England Football Conference winning streak to 34 games and their home winning streak to 32 games.
MIT 43, Nichols 42 - Peter Gilliland kicked a 37-yard field goal with 14 seconds left, rallying the Engineers (3-1, 1-0 NEFC) past the visiting Bison (2-2, 0-1), earning coach Dwight Smith his 100th career win.
Salve Regina 20, Endicott 17 - Rob LaRiviere-Tougas rushed for 150 yards and a TD to lead the visiting Seahawks (2-1, 1-0 NEFC) past the Gulls (1-3, 0-1).
Worcester St. 42, Mass. Maritime 7 - Pat Good completed 10 of 16 passes for 324 yards and two TDs to lead the host Lancers (1-3, 1-0 NEFC) past the Buccaneers (0-4, 0-1).
Maine Maritime 41, Bridgewater St. 31 - Jim Bower rushed 18 times for 225 yards and three touchdowns and the host Mariners (2-2, 1-0 NEFC) held off the Bears (1-3, 0-1).
Coast Guard 16, Westfield St. 13 - Jacob Shackleford kicked a 32-yard field goal with 16 seconds remaining to lift the visiting Bears (1-2, 1-0 NEFC) past the Owls (2-2, 0-1).
Fitchburg St. 41, Framingham St. 34 - Jim Miller threw for three touchdowns and ran for two to rally the host Falcons (1-3, 1-0 NEFC) past the Rams (2-2, 0-1).
Plymouth St. 30, UMass-Dartmouth 10 - Jeff Mack rushed for 218 yards on 34 carries and scored a touchdown to lead the host Panthers (3-1, 1-0 NEFC) past the Corsairs (2-2, 0-1).
AIC 35, Husson 7 - The visiting Braves (2-2) stunned the Yellow Jackets when James McCandles hit James Dobson with a 69-yard TD pass on the game's first play from scrimmage, but it was all AIC after that as the Yellow Jackets improved to 4-0. Rob Parent connected with Kertis Hussey on two TD passes and rushed for another score, and Mike Mayo added two short TD runs for AIC.
Alfred 17, Springfield 14 - Eric Rockwood kicked a 35-yard field goal with 5:24 left and the visiting Saxons (3-1, 1-0 Empire 8) edged the Pride (1-2, 0-1), who got short scoring runs from Justin Fuller and Jared Livingston.
Mount Ida 34, Becker 19 - Tony Tokarz completed only 5 of 16 passes but three went for touchdowns as the visiting Mustangs (2-1) held off the Hawks (2-2).
N.Y. Maritime 34, Norwich 20 - The host Privateers (2-2) scored three times in the fourth quarter to rally past the Cadets (2-2).
Rensselaer 35, WPI 21 - Jimmy Robertson passed for 385 yards and three touchdowns, leading RPI (3-0, 1-0 Liberty) past visiting WPI (3-1, 0-1).
Western Conn. 22, Buffalo St. 20 - James Williams passed for 243 yards and three touchdowns to lift the host Colonials (1-2, 1-1 New Jersey Athletic Conference) past the Bengals (0-3, 0-2).
Tufts 34, Bates 7 - Tailback Will Ford ran for 116 yards on 19 carries, including a 60-yard TD, and quarterback Anthony Fucillo passed for 195 yards and two TDs - including a 71-yard scoring strike to Stephen Black - as the host Jumbos (2-0, 2-0 NESCAC) beat the Bobcats (0-2, 0-2) for the 23d straight time.
Trinity 20, Williams 17 - Oliver Starnes rushed for 111 yards on 24 carries and scored on runs of 1 and 30 yards and the Bantams (2-0, 2-0 NESCAC) handed the Ephs (1-1, 1-1) their first home loss in 17 games, dating to 2004. Trinity also handed Williams its last home loss, Oct. 2, 2004.
Colby 24, Middlebury 19 - Patrick Burns threw a pair of touchdown passes to power the host White Mules (1-1, 1-1 NESCAC) past the Panthers (1-1, 1-1)
Amherst 31, Bowdoin 24 - Aaron Rauh rushed for 125 yards and a TD and Eric NeSmith added 95 yards and a score to lead the visiting Lord Jeffs (2-0, 2-0 NESCAC) past the Polar Bears (0-2, 0-2).
The Hamilton-Wesleyan game in Middletown, Conn., was postponed and will be made up today at 2 p.m.![]()
