Jake Phillips connected with D.J. McAuley for a 17-yard touchdown with 22 seconds left to lift William & Mary to a 38-34 win over New Hampshire yesterday in Durham, N.H.

The Wildcats (4-1, 1-1 Colonial) went ahead, 31-28, with 4:40 left in the fourth quarter when Mike Boyle caught a 34-yard touchdown pass from R.J. Toman, who threw for 305 yards and two interceptions. Toman also had a 31-yard TD strike to Scott Sicko earlier in the quarter.

But the Tribe (3-2, 1-1) responded with an 11-play, 72-yard drive that was capped by Phillips's winning touchdown pass.

Maine 27, Delaware 10 - Michael Brusko scored on a 5-yard run with 11:35 remaining to snap a 10-10 tie and the visiting Black Bears (3-3, 1-2) scored 17 unanswered points in the final 12 minutes to down the Blue Hens (2-4, 0-2).

Jerron McMillian's interception at the Black Bears' 46 led to Brian Harvey's 31-yard field goal that pushed Maine's lead to 20-10 with 3:42 left and Jordan Stevens then stripped Robby Schoenhoft as he was being sacked and returned the fumble 35 yards for a touchdown with 1:29 remaining.

Maine quarterback Adam Farkes left with an apparent shoulder injury in the second quarter and didn't return. Brusko replaced him and completed 5 of 7 passes for 65 yards, and rushed for 40 yards on nine carries.

Freshman Brandon Johnson-Farrell had eight kickoff returns for 198 yards and a touchdown for URI (2-5, 0-3). Derek Cassidy was 22 of 45 for 265 yards and two TDs for the Rams.
