Toman helps UNH rout Towson for school's 500th win

R.J. Toman threw for 292 yards and four touchdowns to lead New Hampshire to a 42-14 rout of Towson yesterday in Durham, N.H.
The Wildats (6-1, 3-1 Colonial), ranked 10th in the Football Championship Subdivision, won their 500th game.
New Hampshire scored 28 points in the second quarter, sparked by Toman's 48-yard touchdown pass to Mike Boyle. Robert Simpson scored on a 68-yard run to put the Wildcats ahead, 21-7.
Toman, who completed 20 of 26 passes, also had TDs of 14 yards to Boyle and 7 yards to Sean Jellison in the second quarter as UNH built a 35-7 halftime lead.
Sean Schaefer was 34 of 48 for 309 yards and a touchdown for the Tigers (3-5, 1-3).
William & Mary 34, URI 24 - Jonathan Grimes rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown to rally the host Tribe.
No. 23 William & Mary (5-2, 3-1) trailed, 10-7, at halftime before scoring 24 second-half points.
Derek Cassidy was 27 of 41 for 225 yards, threw for two touchdowns, and ran for one for URI (2-7, 0-5), but also threw three interceptions.
James Madison 23, Villanova 19 - Bosco Williams caught a 35-yard TD pass from Rodney Landers on the last play of the game, and the top-ranked Dukes (7-1, 5-0) rallied to stun the host No. 7 Wildcats (5-2, 3-1).
Richmond 48, Georgetown 0 - Josh Vaughan ran for 157 yards and two touchdowns to help the No. 9 Spiders (6-3) blow out the visiting Hoyas (1-6).
Delaware 17, Hofstra 0 - Junior Jabbie ran for 155 yards and a touchdown and the visiting Blue Hens (3-5, 1-3) halted a three-game losing streak with a rain-soaked win over the Pride (3-5, 1-3).![]()
