Ricky Stanzi connected with Marvin McNutt for a 7-yard touchdown pass as time expired and No. 7 Iowa remained undefeated with a 15-13 victory against Michigan State last night in East Lansing, Mich.

The Hawkeyes are 8-0 for the first time in school history and have sole possession of first place in the Big Ten at 4-0. Iowa, sixth in the BCS standings, has won 12 straight, the second-longest streak in the nation.

Michigan State (4-4, 3-2) grabbed a 13-9 lead with 1:37 remaining when Kirk Cousins hit Blair White on a 30-yard TD pass. But the Hawkeyes stormed back with a sharp, game-winning drive.

Stanzi hit Derrell Johnson-Koulianos with a 16-yard pass to move Iowa to the Michigan State 15. A defensive holding penalty moved the ball to 7. Stanzi threw three incomplete passes into the end zone, but on fourth down, with two seconds on the clock, he hit McNutt on a slant pattern.

Stanzi finished 11 of 27 for 138 yards. Cousins completed 16 of 32 passes for 225 yards.

Florida 29, Mississippi St. 19 - The host Bulldogs stymied the second-ranked Gators (7-0, 5-0 SEC) near the goal line all night, but Chris Rainey’s 8-yard scoring run and Dustin Doe’s 23-yard interception return for a TD helped Florida extend the nation’s longest winning streak to 17 games.

Tim Tebow scored on a 26-yard run for the Gators, but he also kept the Bulldogs (3-5, 1-3) in the game by having two interceptions returned for TDs by Johnthan Banks.

Texas 41, Missouri 7 - Colt McCoy completed his first 11 passes and produced TDs on the No. 3 Longhorns’ first three drives, helping to bury the Tigers early in Columbia, Mo.

McCoy matched his season high with three TD passes, two to Jordan Shipley, and finished 26 of 31 for 269 yards and an interception. Texas (7-0, 4-0 Big 12) also blocked a punt for a score in a nearly flawless first half that produced a 35-7 lead.

Southern Cal 42, Oregon St. 36 - The No. 4 Trojans avenged their only loss from last season, getting 147 yards rushing and two TDs from Allen Bradford, then holding off the Beavers in Los Angeles.

Damian Williams returned a fourth-quarter punt 63 yards for a TD to give USC (6-1, 3-1 Pac-10) a 42-23 cushion. Sean Canfield (329 yards) rallied Oregon State (4-3, 2-2) with his third TD pass, and Jacquizz Rodgers’s 1-yard run pulled the Beavers within 6 with 5:41 to play.

Cincinnati 41, Louisville 10 - With injured starter Tony Pike watching in street clothes on the home sideline, Zach Collaros directed the fifth-ranked Bearcats splendidly on offense, finishing 15 of 17 for 253 yards and three TDs.

Cincinnati (7-0, 3-0 Big East) extended its best start since 1954 without Pike, who didn’t suit up four days after having surgery on his non-throwing forearm. In his first collegiate start, Collaros, a sophomore, repeatedly found receivers running open through one of the conference’s worst defenses. His 31-yard pass to Mardy Gilyard made it 31-10 midway through the third quarter.

LSU 31, Auburn 10 - Jordan Jefferson threw for a career-high 242 yards and two TDs and scrambled for another score to spearhead an impressive home win for ninth-ranked LSU (6-1, 4-1 SEC).

Auburn (5-3, 2-3) came into the game ranked eighth nationally in total offense, averaging 464.9 yards per game, but managed only 193 against LSU. Auburn had two turnovers and Chris Todd was sacked four times.

TCU 38, BYU 7 - Andy Dalton passed for 241 yards and three TDs as the 10th-ranked Horned Frogs remained unbeaten by blasting the No. 16 Cougars in Provo, Utah.

TCU (7-0, 3-0 Mountain West) continued its march to what it hopes is a BCS berth by routing BYU (6-2, 3-1) for the second year in a row. The Frogs sacked Max Hall five times, the final one causing a fumble early in the fourth quarter that led to a blowout-capping TD.

Oregon 43, Washington 19 - At Seattle, quarterback Jeremiah Masoli returned from a knee injury to run for two scores, and the No. 12 Ducks blocked a punt for a touchdown and used a fake field goal to set up another TD.

Oregon (6-1, 4-0 Pac-10) won its sixth straight in the series by forcing three turnovers, and it didn’t let the Huskies (3-5, 2-3) into the end zone until the fourth quarter.

Penn St. 35, Michigan 10 - Daryll Clark threw three of his four TD passes to Graham Zug, helping the No. 13 Nittany Lions (7-1, 3-1 Big Ten) win at the Big House for the first time since 1996. Michigan (5-3, 1-3) had four turnovers.

Oklahoma St. 34, Baylor 7 - At Waco, Texas, Zac Robinson completed 23 of 27 passes for 250 yards with a season-high three TDs, and the 14th-ranked Cowboys (6-1, 3-0 Big 12) stretched their winning streak to five games.

Houston 38, SMU 15 - Case Keenum had a subpar outing (season-low 233 yards), but he still threw a TD pass for the 23d straight game and the No. 17 Cougars (6-1, 2-1 Conference USA) rolled at home.

Ohio St. 38, Minnesota 7 - Terrelle Pryor responded to a week’s worth of criticism by throwing for two scores and rushing for another, pacing the No. 18 Buckeyes (6-2, 4-1 Big Ten) at home.

Utah 23, Air Force 16 - After Eddie Wide gave the No. 19 Utes (7-1, 4-0 Mountain West) the lead in overtime with a 1-yard TD run, Stevenson Sylvester secured the victory in Salt Lake City by stopping Air Force’s Connor Dietz on a fourth-down quarterback keeper.

Pittsburgh 41, South Florida 14 - The No. 20 Panthers opened up a 31-7 lead at halftime in improving to 7-1 for the first time since Dan Marino’s senior season of 1982. Bill Stull threw for two scores to pace Pittsburgh (4-0 Big East).

Texas A&M 52, Texas Tech 30 - The visiting Aggies (4-3, 1-2 Big 12) snapped a three-game losing streak by upending the No. 21 Red Raiders (5-3, 2-2). Cyrus Gray led the way with four TDs.

South Carolina 14, Vanderbilt 10 - Stephen Garcia threw two TD passes, including a 43-yarder to Alshon Jeffery in the fourth quarter, to bail out the No. 23 Gamecocks (6-2, 3-2 SEC) at home.

Oklahoma 35, Kansas 13 - The 25th-ranked Sooners intercepted Todd Reesing, the Jayhawks’ career passing leader, on Kansas’s first three possessions, the second of which was returned 85 yards for a TD by Dominique Franks. Chris Brown had three TDs for Oklahoma (4-3, 2-1 Big 12), and No. 24 Kansas (5-2, 1-2) couldn’t overcome a bad day by Reesing (22 of 42, 224 yards).
