BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Southwestern Athletic Conference is reviewing a postgame altercation between Southern and Arkansas-Pine Bluff football players

Southern scored a touchdown with no time remaining, but Jarvis Webb blocked the extra-point attempt to give Arkansas-Pine Bluff a 22-21 victory on Saturday night. The win kept the Golden Lions (4-3, 3-2 Southwestern Athletic) ahead of the Jaguars (2-5, 2-3) in the SWAC's West Division.

After the game, a fight broke out on the field. Arkansas-Pine Bluff athletic director Lonza Hardy's office said Tuesday that officials were still reviewing the video footage and no decisions had been made.

Conference officials said in a statement issued Monday that chancellors for both schools had issued apologizes about the incident and pledged their cooperation with the inquiry. Officials said there is no definite timeline for taking any action.
