Sacred Heart 82, Monmouth 68 — Shane Gibson scored 33 points as the host Pioneers (8-11, 6-2 Northeast) erased a 5-point halftime deficit to beat the Hawks (8-13, 3-5).

Williams 64, Middlebury 63 — Daniel Wohl’s layup with 31 seconds remaining gave the ninth-ranked Ephs the upset over the No. 3 Panthers in Williams­town.

Michael Mayer led Williams (17-2, 6-0 NESCAC) with 24 points and seven rebounds while Wohl and Nate Robertson each added 11 points.

Peter Lynch led Middlebury (16-1, 5-1) with 16 points and Joey Kizel added 15, but the Panthers hit only 38.3 percent of their shots.

UMass-Lowell 86, Assumption 77 — Akeem Williams scored 24 points and the River Hawks (12-5, 8-5 Northeast-10) upset the visiting Greyhounds (13-4, 10-3), who came in ranked No. 16 in Division 2. Kevin Donahue scored 19 points for Assumption.

Amherst 83, Trinity 55 — Peter Kaasila finished with 23 points and eight rebounds, and the Lord Jeffs (17-2, 6-0 NESCAC), ranked No. 14 in Division 3, pulled away in the second half to rout the visiting Bantams (8-11, 2-4).

Albertus Magnus 90, Norwich 59 — Darius Watson led six players in double figures with 16 points, and the host Falcons (17-2 12-1 Great Northeast), ranked 18th in Division 3, blew out the Cadets (5-13, 2-9).

Emory 69, Brandeis 55 — Gabriel Moton scored 14 points for the 19th-ranked Judges (14-3, 5-1 University Athletic Association), but the host Eagles (12-4, 4-2) pulled away in the second half and ended Brandeis’s seven-game winning streak in Division 3.

R.I. College 60, Eastern Conn. 50 — Michael Palumbo scored 11 of his 13 points in the second half, and the Anchormen (16-2, 8-1), ranked No. 21 in Division 3, knocked off the Warriors (13-6, 7-2) in Willimantic, Conn., to move into first place in the Little East Conference. end of story marker
