UMass-Lowell men’s hockey routs AIC, 6-1

Ryan McGrath, A.J. White, and Derek Arnold each had a goal and an assist as the sixth-ranked UMass-Lowell River Hawks routed the Yellow Jackets, 6-1, Tuesday night in Lowell.

Terrence Wallin, Chris Maniccia, and Adam Chapie scored the other goals for UMass-Lowell (11-4-0), who rolled to their sixth straight win.

McGrath tipped home Jake Suter’s wrist shot from the right point just 15 seconds into the game to put the River Hawks up early. White came down 49 seconds later to wheel in a shot that beat AIC’s Ty Reichenbach on the glove side. Wallin picked up Josh Holmstrom’s shot off the post and got it past Reichenbach at 17:33 to close out the first period scoring.
