Nick Sorkin’s goal early in the second period lifted 13th-ranked New Hampshire to a 1-1 draw with fifth-ranked Michigan in Durham, N.H.
The Wildcats’ score came three seconds after a power play had ended. Justin Agosta’s shot was deflected by Steve Racine for one his 19 saves, but Sorkin stuffed it in. Kevin Goumas also got an assist on the score.
Racine left early in the third period with an injury, and replacement Zach Nagelvoort, the goalie of record, stopped an additional 15 shots for the Wolverines (2-0-1).
UNH (1-1-1), which failed to score on all eight power plays, got 17 saves from Jeff Wyer.
