Lehigh, the top seed in the Patriot League Tournament, beat second-seeded American in the final, 59-57 . . . In 13 tournament appearances, the Patriot League representative has been eliminated in the NCAA first round . . . Despite finishing fifth in the MEAC and losing three of their last five games, the Rattlers swept through the tournament, defeating top-seeded and defending champion South Carolina State in the semifinals and second-seeded Coppin State in the final . . .
