Thompson boosts Rider past BU
Jason Thompson scored 22 points and Harris Mansell added 20 as Rider ended an eight-game losing streak with a 66-60 victory over Boston University yesterday at Case Gym.
The Broncos (1-1) trailed by 9 in the first half but pulled ahead by a point at the break.
Rider held the Terriers (1-2) scoreless over the first 4:04 of the second half to take command.
Thompson scored 15 of his points in the first half. He led all rebounders with eight and blocked two shots.
Corey Lowe and Tyler Morris led the Terriers with 13 points apiece.
