Yusuf Abdul-Ali is making an annual habit of breaking Bryant's heart.
The Bentley senior point guard took the ball the length of the court and scored the winning basket on a layup with 1.6 seconds remaining, helping the top-ranked Falcons remain undefeated with a 69-68 victory over the Bulldogs in a Northeast-10 showdown at Waltham.
Bentley (20-0, 15-0), ranked No. 1 in Division 2 since late November, has won 47 straight regular-season games and 50 in a row over conference foes. The Falcons' last regular-season loss came in double overtime to Bryant (12-9, 8-8) two years ago.
Last season, Abdul-Ali hit a jumper with 1.5 seconds on the clock to give the Falcons a 78-76 road victory over the Bulldogs.
A nail-biter to the end with 13 lead changes and nine ties, Bryant took a 1-point lead on a 3-pointer by Cecel Gresham with eight seconds remaining, setting the stage for Abdul-Ali's heroics.
Jason Westrol led the Falcons with 18 points, and Lew Finnegan had 17.
Chris Birrell and Jon Ezeokoli each scored 17 points for the Bulldogs.
AIC 77, Merrimack 74 - At Springfield, Colson Senat scored 23 points, Jeff Dosado added 20, and the Yellow Jackets (10-11, 7-9 NE-10) shot 54 percent from the field (27 of 50) to fend off the Warriors (13-9, 8-9), who had four players in double figures, led by Micky Burtnyk with 15 points.
Saint Rose 82, Saint Michael's 77 - Steve Dagostino scored 25 points and dished out 10 assists, Shany Robinson added 23 points on 10-of-15 shooting and collected 15 rebounds, and the Golden Knights (16-5, 13-3 NE-10) overcame a 38-31 halftime deficit to defeat the Purple Knights (6-11, 4-11) at Colchester, Vt.
West Virginia 77, Providence 65 - Darris Nichols scored a game-high 23 points, including four second-half 3-pointers without a miss, to carry the Mountaineers (16-6, 5-4 Big East) past the Friars (12-9, 3-6) for the sixth time in seven meetings. Randall Hanke led Providence with 18 points.
Northeastern 63, Drexel 40 - At Philadelphia, Matt Janning and Eugene Spates each scored 19 points and the Huskies (9-12, 5-6 Colonial Athletic) held the Dragons (9-14, 2-9) scoreless for almost 10 minutes in the second half and to 23 percent shooting for the game.
BU 67, UNH 52 - At Durham, N.H., Corey Lowe scored 23 points and Scott Brittain added 15 points and 13 rebounds as the Terriers (7-14, 4-5 America East) beat the Wildcats.
With the game tied at 32, Lowe and Carlos Strong hit back-to-back 3-pointers to put the Terriers ahead for good.
Mike Christensen had 16 to lead New Hampshire (7-14, 4-5).
UMBC 75, Vermont 73 - Ray Barbosa (21 points) hit five straight free throws in the closing minutes to help the Retrievers (15-7, 7-2) defeat the host Catamounts (11-10, 6-3) in a battle for first place in America East. Jay Greene scored 26 points to lead the Retrievers, while Marqus Blakely scored 26 for Vermont.
Hartford 71, Binghamton 62 - Joe Zeglinski scored 14 of his 21 points in the second half while Morgan Sabia added 12 of his 15 after the break to lead the Hawks (11-13, 5-4 America East) over the Bearcats (10-11, 6-3) at Vestal, N.Y.
Princeton 68, Harvard 54 - Kyle Koncz scored 24 points to lead the host Tigers (5-12, 2-0 Ivy) over the Crimson (6-14, 1-3).
Lincoln Gunn added 17 points for Princeton, including a 3-pointer late in the second half that gave his team the lead for good.
Jeremy Lin had 17 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists for Harvard.
Penn 68, Dartmouth 66 - Jack Eggleston scored a career-high 16 points and the host Quakers (7-12, 2-0 Ivy) held off the Big Green (8-10, 1-3), which lost to Penn for the 22d straight time.
Brown 68, Columbia 63 - At Providence, Mark McAndrew had 21 points and Peter Sullivan added 19 as the Bears (10-8, 2-2 Ivy) took command in the second half to defeat the Lions (8-11, 1-3), who were led by John Baumann's 23 points and 13 rebounds.
Cornell 66, Yale 45 - Ryan Wittman scored 18 points, and the Big Red (12-5, 4-0 Ivy) took a 39-21 lead into halftime and cruised past the host Bulldogs (7-11, 1-3).
Rhode Island 82, Dayton 70 - Joe Mbang scored 21 points while Jimmy Baron finished with 20 as the Rams (19-3, 5-2 Atlantic 10) fended off the Flyers (15-5, 3-4) with a 20-7 run in the second half at South Kingstown, R.I.
Holy Cross 60, Lehigh 42 - Tim Clifford scored 16 points and blocked seven shots to lead the Crusaders at Worcester.
Holy Cross (11-9, 2-5 Patriot) held Lehigh (11-10, 4-3) to 24 percent shooting from the floor.
Central Conn. 89, Wagner 63 - Freshman Ken Horton had a career-high 26 points as the Blue Devils surprised the Northeast Conference-leading Seahawks (15-6, 8-2) at New Britain, Conn.
Tristan Blackwood added 18 points for the Blue Devils (10-12, 6-5), and set a conference record with 304 career 3-pointers.
