Chaisson Allen scored 10 of his 16 points after halftime, and Manny Adako added 12 of his 15 points in the second half as Northeastern pulled away after the intermission to beat the Tigers, 73-48, last night in Towson, Md.

It was the 10th consecutive win for the Huskies (12-7, 7-1 Colonial Athletic Association), who started the second half with a 23-6 run after leading, 26-24, at halftime.

The Huskies, who shot 62.1 percent (18 for 29) from the field after halftime, held the Tigers (4-14, 1-7) to 31 percent (9 for 29) in the second half.

Kansas 81, Baylor 75 - Sherron Collins had 28 points and hit his fifth 3-pointer with just over a minute left, helping the No. 3 Jayhawks (17-1, 3-0 Big 12) outlast the No. 25 Bears (14-3, 2-2) in Lawrence, Kan.

Villanova 94, Rutgers 68 - Dominic Cheek scored 17 points, Corey Stokes added 16, and the No. 4 Wildcats (17-1, 6-0 Big East) rolled to their eighth straight win with a victory over the reeling host Scarlet Knights (9-9, 0-6).

Michigan State 70, Iowa 63 - Raymar Morgan scored 16 points and the No. 6 Spartans (16-3, 6-0) remained unbeaten in Big Ten play by holding off the Hawkeyes’ (7-12, 1-5) comeback bid in East Lansing, Mich.

N.C. State 88, Duke 74 - Tracy Smith scored 23 points, Dennis Horner added 20, and the host Wolfpack (13-6, 2-3 Atlantic Coast Conference) stunned the No. 7 Blue Devils (15-3, 3-2).

West Virginia 68, Marshall 60 - Da’Sean Butler scored 12 of his 16 points in the second half to lead the No. 11 Mountaineers (14-3) over the host Thundering Herd (15-3).

Georgetown 74, Pittsburgh 66 - Chris Wright scored 27 points and the visiting 12th-ranked Hoyas (14-3, 5-2 Big East) held the No. 9 Panthers (15-3, 5-1) scoreless for four minutes while taking control with a late 9-0 run to end Pittsburgh’s eight-game winning streak.

BYU 81, Wyoming 66 - Tyler Haws scored a career-high 24 points and the No. 14 host Cougars (19-1, 4-0 Mountain West) won their 14th in a row and pulled within one win of the best start in school history with a victory over the Cowboys (8-11, 1-4) in Provo, Utah.

Temple 77, Xavier 72 - Ryan Brooks scored 22 points, Lavoy Allen had 16, and the No. 16 Owls (16-3, 4-0 A-10) beat the Musketeers (12-6, 4-1) in a matchup of league unbeatens.

Wisconsin 54, Michigan 48 - Trevon Hughes (20 points) and Rob Wilson (13) led a late scoring surge, powering the No. 18 Badgers (15-4, 5-2 Big Ten) past the visiting Wolverines (10-8, 3-3).

Mississippi 66, South Carolina 57 - Chris Warren had 15 points and the No. 22 host Rebels (14-4, 2-2 SEC) beat the Gamecocks (11-7, 2-2).

Wake Forest 82, UNC 69 - Freshman C.J. Harris scored a career-high 20 points and the visiting Demon Deacons (13-4, 3-2 ACC) dropped the No. 24 Tar Heels (12-7, 1-3).

Duquesne 63, UMass 54 - Samantha Pollino had 18 points and the Dukes (14-5, 4-0 A-10) held off the Minutewomen (7-12, 1-3) in OT in Pittsburgh.

Navy 75, Holy Cross 60 - K.C. Gordon had a career-high 20 points to lift the Mids (10-9, 1-3 Patriot ) over the Crusaders (5-14, 1-3) in Annapolis, Md.
