MEMPHIS, Tenn.—Will Barton had 27 points and Joe Jackson added 14 as No. 11 Memphis defeated Christian Brothers 79-56 in the Tigers' final exhibition game.
Barton was 9 of 14 from the field, and Memphis forced 19 turnovers, 15 on steals. Chris Crawford finished with 13 points, all in the first half.
Pat Graham, Trey Casey and Michael Drake had 10 points apiece for the Buccaneers, who shot 39 percent for the game.
Memphis built the lead early in the first half, holding a 26-5 advantage after Christian Brothers shot 2 of 13 to start the game.
The Buccaneers were able to push back a bit, but Memphis carried a 40-25 lead into the break behind Crawford's 13 points and Barton's 10.
Memphis continued to build the lead in the second half, stretching it to 72-36 with about 5 minutes left.
