HAMILTON, N.Y.—Ike Azotam tallied a double-double, scoring 20 points and grabbing 14 boards, and Quinnipiac used a strong run to close out the first half in an 80-70 win over Colgate on Wednesday night.

A pair of John Brandenburg free throws put Colgate ahead 24-20 with just less than six minutes before halftime, but Quinnipiac (7-5) got going from that juncture and never looked back.

Azotam's jumper with 5:34 left in the opening half sparked an 11-0 run, and the Bobcats took a seven-point advantage into the locker room. Quinnipiac led the rest of the way, outscoring Colgate 49-46 in the second half to seal the win.

James Johnson added 18 points for the Bobcats, Zaid Hearst 16 and Dave Johnson 10. Quinnipiac has won two straight and five of six.

Mike Venezia scored 15 points to lead the Raiders (5-7), who have dropped two straight.
