SMITHFIELD, R.I.—Velton Jones scored nine of his 15 points during a huge second-half run as Robert Morris pulled away from Bryant for an 84-53 Northeast Conference victory Thursday night.

The Colonials (12-4, 3-0) eased to a 29-14 lead in the first half, but the Bulldogs fought back to trail 34-28 at intermission.

After Bryant (1-13, 0-3) cut the gap to four to open the second half, Robert Morris launched a 31-7 run. Jones scored nine of the Colonials' first 11 points in the spurt, including two 3-pointers.

Mike McFadden added 10 points for Robert Morris, which used 14 players in posting its highest point total of the season. None played more than 25 minutes and 11 scored.

Robert Morris outrebounded the Bulldogs 41-26 and outscored them 26-6 in the paint.

Bryant made only 17 of 47 field goals, but 11 of 28 were 3-pointers.

Raphael Jordan's 21 points led the Bulldogs.
