Jesse Morgan scored 20 points as Massachusetts held off host Richmond, 79-68, yesterday.

The Minutemen (15-5, 4-2 Atlantic 10), who have won three of their last four, snapped a two-game road losing streak in league play and a three-game skid in the series.

After UMass went up by 12 points with 15:45 to go, the Spiders (11-9, 2-3) used a 13-3 run to get within a basket, at 49-47 with 11:17 left. The Spiders trailed, 59-55, when the Minutemen pulled away with a 16-6 run, sparked by Morgan’s 3-pointer.

Chaz Williams added 17 points and Sean Carter 15 for UMass.

Drexel 71, NU 53 - Derrick Thomas scored 20 points, hitting all five of his 3-point attempts, and the host Dragons shot 60 percent from the field to halt the Huskies’ four-game winning streak.

Drexel (14-5, 6-2 Colonial) took a 25-7 lead at the 10:56 mark, but the Huskies closed to 33-25 by halftime. Jonathan Lee’s 3-pointer got Northeastern (9-9, 5-3) within 7 early in the second half, but Drexel used a 9-2 run to regain control for good. Lee finished with 16 points to lead Northeastern.

Bucknell 75, Holy Cross 41 - Cameron Ayers scored 13 points and the host Bison (15-6, 5-0 Patriot) had a 35-5 advantage in bench scoring and routed the Crusaders for their sixth win in a row. Devin Brown scored 11 points for Holy Cross (8-11, 2-3).

Stony Brook 58, Maine 52 - The visiting Seawolves (11-7, 6-1 America East) forced 22 turnovers to edge the Black Bears. Justin Edwards and Xavier Pollard each scored 14 points for Maine (8-10, 2-5), which has lost five straight.

Yale 73, Brown 60 - Greg Mangano scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the visiting Bulldogs (12-4, 2-0 Ivy) topped the Bears (5-13, 0-2).

La Salle 80, Rhode Island 66 - Tyreek Duren scored 21 points and the host Explorers (14-6, 3-2 Atlantic 10) routed the Rams (3-17, 0-5). Jonathan Holton scored 18 points and grabbed 17 rebounds for Rhode Island.

Quinnipiac 78, Bryant 71 - James Johnson had 23 points and the visiting Bobcats (10-9, 3-5 NEC) scored 10 of the final 12 points in overtime to surge past the Bulldogs (2-17, 1-7), who got a season-high 30 points from Alex Francis.

Sacred Heart 62, Central Conn. 61 - Shane Gibson (26 points) hit the winning basket with six seconds left to lift the host Pioneers (10-11, 4-4 Northeast) past the Blue Devils (9-9, 6-2).

WPI 80, MIT 68 - Matt Carr had 18 points and eight rebounds and visiting WPI (14-3, 4-1 NEWMAC) used a 12-2 run late in the second half to break open a close game and hand MIT, ranked No. 3 in Division 3, its first loss.

Mitchell Kates led MIT (16-1, 4-1) with 22 points, 18 in the second half.

Amherst 82, Colby 64 - David Waller (18 points) and Aaron Toomey (16) each went 4 for 5 from beyond the 3-point arc to power the fourth-ranked Lord Jeffs (15-2, 5-0 NESCAC) to the easy win over the host White Mules (5-11, 1-4).

Tufts 83, Conn. College 55 - C.J. Moss scored 11 points and reserves Tom Folliard and Oliver Cohen each added 10 as the visiting Jumbos (12-5, 4-2 NESCAC) trounced the Camels (6-12, 0-6).

Bentley 66, New Haven 54 - Sam Leclerc and Andrew Shaw each scored 15 points and the visiting Falcons (13-4, 9-4 Northeast-10) pulled away in the second half to down the Chargers (12-5, 8-5).

Stonehill 81, Southern Conn. 58 - Brian Hamor scored 21 points and the visiting Skyhawks (12-5, 9-4 NE-10) raced out to a 20-point halftime lead and cruised past the Owls (8-9, 6-7).

UMass-Lowell 72, Assumption 69 - Akeem Williams scored 25 points and the visiting River Hawks (11-5, 7-5 NE-10) held on to edge the Greyhounds (7-9, 5-7).

Merrimack 62, AIC 49 - Wayne Mack hit 4 of 5 treys and finished with 19 points and Mike Clifford added 17 points and 15 rebounds to power the Warriors (9-8, 6-7 NE-10) past the Yellow Jackets (4-13, 2-11) in Springfield.

Eastern Conn. 58, Southern Maine 44 - Nick Nedwick scored 25 points and the visiting Warriors (12-1, 7-0 Little East), ranked No. 25 in Division 3, pulled away in the second half to knock off the Huskies (7-9, 1-6).

Western Conn. 82, UMass-Boston 73 - DaQuan Brooks scored 30 points and handed out nine assists, leading the host Colonials (14-3, 5-2 Little East) past the Beacons (5-12, 1-6), who were led by freshman Mike Caceres’s 22-point effort.

Suffolk 75, Norwich 67 - Matt Pepdjonovic scored 19 points and pulled down 23 rebounds and Chris Torres added 21 points to boost the host Rams (6-10, 3-6 Great Northeast) past the Cadets (4-11, 3-6).

Emmanuel 64, Emerson 48 - Isaiah Duke scored 16 points and the host Saints (7-9, 6-3 GNAC) topped the Lions (1-15, 1-8), giving coach Jamahl Jackson his 100th career win.

Albertus Magnus 71, Anna Maria 51 - In New Haven, Ray Askew scored 12 points and pulled down nine rebounds to become the all-time leading rebounder with 1,037 for the Falcons (14-1, 9-0 GNAC).

Curry 92, Wentworth 70 - Lambros Papalambros scored 23 points and Sedale Jones added 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals to power the Colonels (7-8, 5-3 Commonwealth Coast) past the host Leopards (9-6, 5-4).
