With its first Hockey East regular-season title in reach, Northeastern didn't mind having to work a little overtime.
Randy Guzior scored with 26 seconds left in regulation to force the extra session and Steve Quailer connected with 1:05 left in overtime, giving the fourth-ranked Huskies a 2-1 win over No. 20 Boston College last night at Matthews Arena.
The Huskies (23-8-4, 18-5-3), who will host a Hockey East quarterfinal series for the first time since 1997-98, can clinch the regular-season crown with a win over the Eagles (15-13-5, 10-11-5) tonight at Conte Forum or with a loss by second-place Boston University against Providence.
