Freshman Garrett Vermeersch and sophomore Alex Tuckerman scored for Northeastern.
North Dakota 5, Merrimack 2 - Five Fighting Sioux scored and Brad Eidsness stopped 15 Warrior shots in the opener for both teams at Grand Forks, N.D.
Joe Cannata stopped 34 shots for Merrimack.
Union 4, Maine 1 - The Dutchmen came out flying in the third period, scoring three unanswered goals to hand the Black Bears the loss in Schenectady, N.Y.
Maine’s Adam Shemansky scored his first collegiate goal at 16:29 of the second. John Wilson, Jeremy Walsh, Justin Pallos, and Stephane Boileau scored for Union.
Quinnipiac 3, Ohio St. 1 - Dan Clarke made a career-high 44 saves as the Bobcats completed a two-game sweep of the host Buckeyes.
BC 6, USA Under-18 3 - Freshman Chris Kreider scored twice and sophomore Cam Atkinson collected three points to lead the Eagles to the exhibition victory at Conte Forum.
Defenseman Tommy Cross tallied a goal and an assist and Joe and Steven Whitney also scored a goal each for BC.![]()
