Minnesota rallies, tops BC women

Katie Ohm scored a career-high 23 points as Minnesota rallied from a 15-point first-half deficit, then poured it on down the stretch to beat Boston College, 80-60, in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge last night in Minneapolis.
The Eagles (5-2) made 11 of their first 15 shots to build a 29-14 lead. But with near-perfect free throw shooting and Ohm on target from long range, the Gophers (8-1) were able to secure their eighth straight win. The loss stopped Boston College's two-game winning streak.
"Minnesota physically wore us out," said Boston College coach Sylvia Crawley. "I thought the game came down to 3-point shots and free throws."
Mickel Picco led BC with 14 points, while Stefanie Murphy scored 11.
Maryland 70, Purdue 59 - Kristi Toliver scored 22 of her 24 points in the second half, helping the No. 8 Terrapins (7-1) beat the No. 17 Boilermakers (5-2) in West Lafayette, Ind.
Duke 71, Iowa 47 - Chante Black scored 18 points and the No. 12 Blue Devils (5-1) defeated the Hawkeyes (4-4) in Durham, N.C.
Louisville 67, Middle Tennessee 44 - Angel McCoughtry had a game-high 24 points and 13 rebounds, leading the No. 13 Cardinals (6-1) over the Blue Raiders (5-3) in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Vanderbilt 83, Cal State-Fullerton 67 - Christina Wirth went 6 for 6 on 3-pointers and had a career-high 27 points to lift the 16th-ranked Commodores (8-1) over the Titans (2-4) in Fullerton, Calif.
Virginia 63, Illinois 39 - Monica Wright scored 23 points to lead the No. 20 Cavaliers (6-2) past the
Fresno State 75, TCU 71 - Hayley Munro scored 23 points and converted the go-ahead 3-point play with 21 seconds left, and the Bulldogs (5-1) rallied from 17 points down in the closing minutes to stun the No. 22 Lady Frogs (6-2) in Fresno, Calif.

Connecticut 68, Buffalo 64 - Hasheem Thabeet had 21 points and 18 rebounds, Jeff Adrien added 18 points, and the No. 2 Huskies survived a big scare, holding off the Bulls in Amherst, N.Y.
Rodney Pierce scored 28 points to keep the Bulls (3-3) close against UConn (8-0).
Oklahoma 73, Southern Cal 72 - Blake Griffin scored 11 of his 25 points after getting hit with an elbow in the second half, and the No. 6 Sooners (7-0) staved off a rally by the Trojans (5-3) in Norman, Okla.
Texas 68, UCLA 64 - A.J. Abrams scored 31 points, including the last 6 of the game for the No. 8 Longhorns (6-1), who beat the No. 12 Bruins (4-2) in Austin, Texas.
Arizona State 81, Jackson State 60 - James Harden had 22 points and eight rebounds as the No. 19 Sun Devils (6-1) defeated the Tigers (1-7) in Tempe, Ariz.
Villanova 93, Houston Baptist 57 - Scottie Reynolds scored a season-high 23 points and the host No. 17 Wildcats stayed unbeaten (8-0) with a victory over the winless Huskies (0-7).![]()
