Gemelos leads USC past Fresno State
LOS ANGELES—Jacki Gemelos had 18 points and 10 rebounds, leading No. 23 Southern California to a 65-57 victory over Fresno State in their season opener on Friday night.
Briana Gilbreath scored 16 for the Trojans, who overcame a sluggish start. Cassie Harberts finished with 14 points.
Ki-Ki Moore had 15 points for Fresno State, which opened the game with an 11-0 run. Rosie Moult added 13 points and nine rebounds.
USC led 29-28 at halftime, and Gemelos' 3-pointer extended the lead to 46-41 with 6:23 left. Ashley Corral also had a key 3 down the stretch for the Trojans.![]()
