NEWARK, Del.—Elena Delle Donne scored 21 of her 28 points in the first half as No. 22 Delaware cruised to 77-45 victory over Yale on Monday night.

The Blue Hens (7-0) won for the second time in two days, extending the program's best start.

Megan Vasquez scored 10 points to lead Yale (4-3).

Delle Donne, the leading scorer in Division I at 29.3 points per game, had Delaware's first 11 points and 16 of its first 18. She finished 10 for 16 from the field and had seven rebounds.

The Bulldogs led 2-0 after Aarica West scored on a layup off the opening tipoff. The Hens scored the next 11 points to take the lead for good.

Delaware led by as many as 24 points in the first half before taking a 42-20 lead at the break. The Hen's biggest advantage in the second half was 67-30.

Delle Donne was the only player to score in double figures for Delaware. A total of 14 players scored at least two points for the Hens.

Delaware shot 45.3 percent (29 of 64) in the game as compared to 30 percent (18 of 60) for the Bulldogs. The Hens outrebounded Yale 54-31.

Yale was led by Vasquez with 10 points. West and Zenab Keita added eight points each for the Bulldogs, who lost to Delaware for the second year in a row.

The Hens, who broke into the Top 25 for the first time in school history last week, moved up two spots to No. 22 in Monday's poll.
