No. 23 Vanderbilt women beat UT-Martin 99-84
MARTIN, Tenn.—Jasmine Lister scored 30 points, Christina Foggie added 20 and No. 23 Vanderbilt remained unbeaten with a 99-84 win over Tennessee-Martin on Wednesday night.
Lister made her first seven shots, six of them 3-pointers. Vandy shot 60 percent for the game and 70.6 percent from 3-point range.
Vanderbilt (10-0) used some crisp ball movement and excellent shooting to build a first-half lead. The Commodores hit 12 of their first 15 attempts from beyond the arc, 10 by Lister and Foggie. The two combined for 33 of Vanderbilt's 54 first-half points.
Meanwhile, the Skyhawks (4-4) made just one of their first seven tries from long range. They rallied briefly in the second half with some timely 3s, cutting the lead to 11 with 6:30 to go.
Jasmine Newsome led UTM with 28 points and Rickiesha Bryant had 18.
