Shayra Brown came off the bench to hit 10 of 11 shots and register team highs of 25 points and six rebounds, but no other Eagle scored more than 9 points and Boston College fell to Virginia, 69-58, last night in Charlottesville, Va.

Ataira Franklin led Virginia (15-6, 3-4 ACC) with 21 points and Lexi Gerson had 13 points and eight rebounds.

The Eagles (5-14, 0-6) shot 48.9 percent to the Cavaliers’ 37.7 percent and played the hosts to a near-deadlock on the boards (34-33), but turned the ball over 20 times, resulting in 26 points.

BC led, 32-31, at halftime, but Virginia’s 17-6 run over the final eight minutes sealed the win.

Baylor 76, Kansas St. 41 - Brittney Griner had 22 points and 12 rebounds as the top-ranked Lady Bears (19-0, 6-0 Big 12) stretched their school-record home winning streak to 34, beating the No. 23 Wildcats (13-5, 4-2).

Notre Dame 76, Villanova 43 - In South Bend, Ind., Skylar Diggins scored 20 points and Devereaux Peters added 19 as the No. 2 Fighting Irish routed the Wildcats (12-7, 2-4 Big East) for their 16th straight victory.

Notre Dame (19-1, 7-0) won its fourth straight game by more than 20 points.

UConn 88, DePaul 44 - Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis tied a season high with 25 points and the No. 3 Huskies (17-2, 6-1 Big East) breezed to their fifth straight win, beating the 21st-ranked Blue Demons (15-5, 3-3) in Chicago.

Stanford 65, Washington 47 - Nnemkadi Ogwumike scored 17 points, sister Chiney had 15 points and 11 rebounds, and the No. 4 Cardinal (17-1, 8-0 Pac-12) beat the Huskies (10-7, 2-5) for their 73d consecutive home win and 65th straight conference victory.

Nnemkadi Ogwumike moved into fifth place on Stanford’s career scoring list with 2,082 points.

Rutgers 72, South Florida 66 - In Tampa, April Sykes had 23 points and 10 rebounds, Khadijah Rushdan scored 16 points, and the No. 7 Scarlet Knights (16-3, 5-1 Big East) beat the Bulls (11-9, 3-3).

Amherst 51, Colby 50 - Caroline Stedman had a hand in 6 of her team’s final 8 points as Division 3’s top-ranked Lord Jeffs scored 10 of the game’s last 12 to beat the Mules, 51-50, in Waterville, Maine.

The Lord Jeffs (17-0, 5-0 NESCAC) have now won 36 consecutive games, 28 straight league games, and 11 in a row against Colby (12-3, 3-2).

Holy Cross 70, Bucknell 53 - The Crusaders (12-8, 3-2 Patriot) got 14 points and seven assists from Alex Smith in a win over the visiting Bison (2-18, 0-5).

Longwood 86, Dartmouth 76 - Faziah Steen led all scorers with 29 points but the Big Green (2-13) fell to the host Lancers (5-17).

Maine 57, Stony Brook 44 - The Black Bears (5-15, 2-5 America East) got double-digit scoring from four players in a balanced win over the host Seawolves (4-16, 1-6).

Quinnipiac 84, Bryant 47 - Brittany McQuain had 14 points and nine boards, leading an easy win for the Bobcats (13-5, 5-2 NEC) over the host Bulldogs (11-7, 4-3).

Bentley 88, New Haven 68 - In their fifth wire-to-wire win of the season, the Falcons (16-2, 12-1 NE-10), ranked No. 6 in Division 2, got 20 points apiece from Courtney Finn and Lauren Battista to beat the host Chargers (2-15, 2-11).

Babson 96, Coast Guard 47 - Erin Young came off the bench to hit 8 of 10 3-pointers and score a career-best 28 points in just 21 minutes, leading the Beavers, ranked 20th in Division 3, past the Bears (5-9, 1-9 NEWMAC) in New London, Conn.

Babson (14-2, 10-0) has won 55 consecutive conference games.

Tufts 51, Conn. College 21 - Collier Clegg scored 16 points in 17 minutes off the bench, and the Jumbos (15-3, 5-1) topped the host Camels (13-3, 4-2) in NESCAC play.
