MIAMI, Fla. --- Facts, nothing but facts. The Celtics have been up, 2-0, heading away for Games 3 and 4 in a 2-2-1-1-1 (7 games) or 2-2-1 (5 games) 30 times in their history. Here is what's happened in those games:

7-Game Series:

So don't get too cocky about tomorrow night's Game 3 in Miami, is what I'm saying. And don't get too cocky about the series being easy, period. In many of those series, the Celtics appeared to be dominant in those first two games at home. But things changed quite dramatically when they got to the other guy's place, with their fans, their comfort zone, and the referees. You think Dwyane Wade isn't going to shoot at least a dozen free throws tonight? That's just essential NBA logic. I'll make his over/under FTA total at 16.

The good news is that only once in those 30 series have the Celtics actually lost after going up, 2-0. That was in 1990, when, after scoring 157 points in Game 2 of a 5-game first round series against the Knicks, they lost the next three in a real shockeroo.

One more thing. The Celtics have lost both Games 3 and 4 in this circumstance four of the last five times they've had it. The only Game 3 W since 1988 was against Indiana in 1992, Larry's last year.
