Anyone besides me notice that, during the SEC tournament semifinal game against Tennessee, there was clear and convincing evidence that several of the most important Kentucky players -- most notably, DeMarcus Cousins -- have tuned out John Calipari . In a 29-point blowout, you had Cousins and John Wall visibly rolling their eyes, and Daniel Orton simply leaving the floor entirely after The Amherst Grifter got in his chops.

It's obvious why this might be the case. Neither Cousins nor Wall is likely to be within 100 miles of campus as soon as the last buzzer of the season sounds, whenever that may be. They need this hassle to solidify their respective draft status and that may be enough to get them to play hard for the next three weeks. But if this team implodes in a close game, I'm going to look back on that Tennessee game as the first clue that things weren't entirely happy.

Oh, and it might occur to someone on TV to mention that Calipari is the only coach in NCAA history to bring to the Final Four two programs so utterly corrupt that neither of them officially exists in the tournament records any more. This is a considerable achievement and worthy of further discussion.
