Return of the native
Well, the Dodgers are in town, and we all know what that means? A weekend collision between two of baseball's most storied brand names? Of course, not. It means Manny Ramirez is back, and so we will be treated to a carnival of insufferable Baseball piety and general moral self-regard the likes of which we may never see again...at least until the Sox sign Barry Bonds for the stretch drive.
We all know that the very presence of Himself brought a dark cloud of Icky into the Sparkle Rainbow Ponyland that is the Red Sox clubhouse, and that Himself was given to mortal sins against Other People's Childhoods. This is what I know. They never won before he got here and they haven't won since he left. (To show what a fair guy I am, the same can be said of ol' 38, who was considered unlikable for totally different reasons.) When they win one without him, I'll consider booing. Until then, the high horse should stay in the barn.
