Bruins

Mmm, mmm, good

It isn't often that This Blog sees a single play worthy of its own post, but the shorthanded -- at five-on-three! -- goal by Bruin Gregory Campbell, a high-risk/high-reward play even with a big lead. It took some serious onions to go for the puck in that situation anyway, and Campbell finished it with a great shot. It's only one play in a long season, but it's worthy of note.

Hall of Fame

Not that Bruins fans aren't giddy enough, but Taylor Hall and his Windsor Spitfires are one game away from a sweep of the Barrie Colts for the Ontario Hockey League championship. Hall's got 32 points in 15 playoff games so far. This would be Windsor's second straight league title. Even though Hall has slipped behind Tyler Seguin in the rankings of NHL prospects,he'd still be my pick. That we all know who Taylor Hall is should be a measure of how the Bruins have managed to turn their season around.
