Watney, formerly of Fresno, joins NESN's Red Sox broadcasts next month, filling the role recently vacated by Tina Cervasio. Is it safe to assume this is the headshot she included with her resume?

I hope it's a warm summer.

Okay, now that I got that out of the way, what I really hope is that she's a good reporter. The reason I like the Sox broadcasting crew is because they are good at what they do. Joe Morgan could look like Carmen Electra, and I still wouldn't want to watch him report on a baseball game. The NESN team has done a great job lately of finding talented people to put on TV. Based solely on my satisfaction with their product thus far, I'll say I'm excited about their new hire.

Heidi is an excellent reporter. I will miss her here in Fresno CA.
