Knick of time

Posted by Eric Wilbur, Boston.com Staff October 6, 2008 09:11 AM

Beginning around the 4:30 mark of this video, director Spike Lee lectures Boston sports fans – well, Patriots fans, at least – for their part in assuming last season’s perfect campaign. Nothing new, really. But what’s most interesting from the piece is that Lee is apparently still smarting from the loss the Boston Celtics dealt to his Knicks. As reporter and noted sports historian Tim Estilov puts it, "In the championships."

Remember that, the 23-59 Knicks in the NBA Finals?

  1. "Patriots never saw a defensive line like the Giants."

Hmm... you mean like week 16 of the season, Spike? I thought writers were supposed to be good fact checkers...
