I was going to write something in this space about the Milwaukee Brewers' ridiculous plan to erect a statue of their former owner, Major League Baseball commissioner Bud Selig. But after coming across this comment on AOL Fanhouse, it was clear that this said it better than anyone else could have in 300 words or more:

"I assume the statue will do exactly what Bud did during the steroid era...just stand there."

Then again, we probably shouldn't be surprised. After all, this is a city that has this among its sightseeing destinations. I think the establishment in the background sort of sums it up.
