Bobby Valentine hasn't even made his first official move in a Red Sox uniform, and already he has fans scratching their heads with an uneasy anticipation toward Opening Day. Well, add one more oddity to the pile.

According to a Tweet from New York Daily News media columnist Bob Raissman this morning, Valentine has signed a deal to appear weekly on ESPN-1050.

In New York.

With Michael Kay.

This is not three days late, people.

The segment will pit the Red Sox manager against a Yankees TV host for what should be some uh, something. John Williams should have just used an organ grinder for his "Theme for Fenway" and been done with it.

The segment debuts today.
