Is Lars Anderson going to have to pay for that?

The Pawtucket Red Sox slugger has yet to make any significant mark in the major leagues, but he indeed made one at McCoy Stadium last night, absolutely crushing a fourth-inning pitch from Norfolk Tides starter Eddie Gamboa to right field, hit so deep that the ball took out a portion of the McCoy scoreboard.

According to the Providence Journal, "Pawtucket officials said they did not think anyone has reached the video board even during batting practice."

It was Anderson's sixth home run of the year, and third in his last three games. He's hitting just .245, with an .815 OPS, but last night was certainly the most memorable moment of his season. Maybe if the parent club's players keep falling to injury, Anderson can get the callup and try his hand at delivering free furniture next.
