With his victory last night against the Devil Rays, Curt Schilling began a season with four straight wins for the first time in his career. Schilling is now 4-0 with a 1.61 ERA and as the Globe’s Jackie MacMullan points out, is quieting skeptics who thought he couldn’t return to form. The six-time All-Star is off to his best start since 2002, when he jumped out to a 12-1 start as a member of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Schilling won a career-high 23 games that season. He finished 23-7 with a 3.23 ERA.
