Missing the boat (or plane)

It appears that Bartolo Colon encountered some logistical problems his flight last night, leaving Red Sox camp without the portly pitcher so far. He is expected to fly in this morning, and check in at camp later today. When Manny Ramirez was asked about the addition of Colon to the team, he didn’t have much to offer: “I don’t know,” he said. “I’m not a pitching coach.”

No, he’s not.

Meanwhile, there’s a giant RV outside the Red Sox clubhouse building. It’s been there since yesterday afternoon, evidently as a location to shoot some video, since the Sox facilities are a bit lacking over here at the minor league facility. Terry Francona should be happy, for one, to head over to City of Palms Park later this week, since he’ll return to having an office.
