Chicago teams still eyeing Coco

OAKLAND – The two teams who have shown the most consistent interest in Coco Crisp are the Cubs and White Sox, according to a major league source familiar with both teams.

Crisp is currently playing center-field for the Sox in a 0-0 tie with the A’s here in the fifth inning. The Cubs have been turned back because of what they perceive to be a high price to pay for Crisp and the Sox have never been interested in Jason Marquis. The White Sox may not match up with the Red Sox enough to get a deal done. It doesn’t appear the Red Sox are in any hurry to move Crisp and will wait for the right situation.
