Lars goes deep

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – News from the minors:

First baseman Lars Anderson hit a first-inning grand slam to lead the Sea Dogs (61-51) to a 13-3 victory over the Reading Phillies (47-69) tonight.

Portland jumped on Adam Eaton immediately as the first three batters reached on a walk, an error, and a hit batter. Catcher Mark Wagner stroked a single to right field to drive in Mickey Hall. That was followed by Anderson’s granny.

Dave Aardsma pitched one inning and allowed two walks for Pawtucket vs. Scranton. Bartolo Colon didn’t make it out of the first inning, threw 32 pitches, and looked terrible.
