Lineups, with Youkilis in left

The other day, Nick Green was talking about potentially playing leftfield after Josh Reddick was optioned back to Pawtucket. “I guess I would be the guy,” he said. “Or maybe Youk. That guy can do anything.”

And so, with Jason Bay out with a hamstring strain, Kevin Youkilis will add another title to his job description: leftfielder. In 2006, Youkilis played 18 games in left, but he has not played there since. (He did play two games in right last season.) Youkilis in left allows the Red Sox to keep Victor Martinez and Mike Lowell in the lineup while getting Casey Kotchman his first start with the Red Sox.
