Kalish promoted to Pawtucket

Ryan Kalish got hot the last week or so for Double A Portland and the Red Sox certainly noticed.

The 22-year-old outfielder was promoted to Triple A Pawtucket yesterday after going 2 for 4 with a double against New Britain. He was 13 of 23 with three homers and eight RBIs for Portland in his last six games.

For the year, Kalish is at .293/.404/.527. The former ninth round pick has a ton of athletic ability and plays the game hard. With he, Lars Anderson, and Felix Doubront now at Pawtucket, there’s some good young talent a step away from the majors.
