Here’s one move that would help

If I’m missing something, please enlighten me. But wouldn’t the Red Sox be instantly better if they released Hideki Okajima and called up almost anybody else from Pawtucket?

As of 4 p.m. today, there are 96 hours until the trade deadline. There are no indications as of this writing that the Red Sox are prepared to make a significant move, although you continue to hear them linked with Scott Downs, Michael Wuertz and other relievers.

But the Okajima/Anybody swap would seem to be one step in the right direction, no?
