Votto is named National League MVP

Joey Votto of the Reds was a near unanimous choice for MVP in the National League, receiving 31 of a possible 32 first-place votes. Albert Pujols was second and Carlos Gonzalez third.

Future Red Sox stars (possibly) Adrian Gonzalez and Jayson Werth finished fourth and eighth, respectively.

The AL MVP will be announced tomorrow at 2 p.m.
