Red Sox set to get some work in

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Good morning from the Red Sox player development complex.

The players are in the clubhouse getting ready for today’s informal workout. Jonathan Papelbon just pulled up in his pickup truck.

(Imagine, Papelbon drives a pickup. What were the odds of that?)

Jarrod Saltalamacchia was the first player on the field.

Adrian Gonzalez may be checking in today or tomorrow. The other exciting news is that they put in a permanent bathroom for the fans instead of that trailer.

Once the guys get on the field, we’ll be back with more. For now, here’s a photo of some palm trees. It’s 60 degrees here and headed to 71.
