Lin scratched from Pawtucket lineup

Che-Hsuan Lin was scratched from the Pawtucket lineup a few minutes ago, which is likely a sign he will be the player called up by the Red Sox for Saturday’s game against the Rays.

Lin, 23, is an elite defensive player with speed and a strong arm. But he hit a modest .245/.340/.305 for Portland and Pawtucket last season with two home runs and 36 RBIs in 539 plate appearances.

More on this as it becomes available.
