The former Yankee is 0-6, 5.08 in nine starts since his last victory on May 6, although he has pitched well in recent games, giving up eight earned runs in his last 19 innings. … Noesi pitched in relief twice against the Sox last season, giving up five runs on five hits over seven innings. … Cook is facing the Mariners for the first time in his career. He is coming off a five-inning start against the Braves that saw him allow two earned runs. … Gonzalez has hit safely in seven straight at 13 of 37 with seven RBIs. … The Sox are 19-15 on the road with wins in seven of their last 11 games. … Middlebrooks is 1 of his last 15.
