The cheers rang throughout the park as Kevin Youkilis made his return to Fenway Monday night.

The fans gave Youkilis a standing ovation before his first at-bat, and kept it up for more than 45 seconds as the White Sox third baseman stepped out and waved his helmet in acknowledgement.

The cheers resumed when he singled up the middle off Red Sox starter Aaron Cook, and again when he scored on an error by Adrian Gonzalez. Youkilis was smiling as he crossed the plate.
