Curt Schilling Makes Surprise Appearance at Fenway Park for 2004 World Series Ceremony

Former Red Sox righthander Curt Schilling, who has been absent from most Fenway Park ceremonies since his retirement from baseball, made a surprise appearance at the park Thursday night to take part in the ceremony honoring the 2004 World Series champions.

Schilling, who has been battling cancer for the last several months, was introduced to a loud ovation as he walked from the outfield with his son Gehrig to join the other ’04 players in attendance for the pregame ceremony.
