Second-half woes

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — The second half is like kryptonite to the Patriots offense on the road. They were held to seven points in the second half for the second straight game.

Against the Jets and Broncos on the road, the Patriots were shut out in the second half. At Indianapolis, the Patriots were outscored, 21-10, in the last two quarters.

“We make mistakes,” Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said. “You make them in the first half or you make them in the second half and you’re not going to score enough points. We certainly had our opportunities [last night] and we didn’t make them.”
