Camp opens with seven two-a-days

We’ve mentioned more than a few times here about how important the Patriots’ draft classes of 2009 and ’10 are to the team’s future.

It turns out, they’ll be learning that the hard way.

The Patriots sent out their training camp press release today, and on it is the schedule for the first seven days of camp. Which include 14 practices. With only one night practice, held in cooler environs. This is subject to change, of course, but for now, there are scheduled to be seven straight days of doubles to open camp, with the rest left unsaid. Here’s the start …

Morning Practice: 9:30-11:15 AM
Afternoon Practice: 3:45-5:30 PM

Friday, July 30
Morning Practice: 9:30-11:15 AM
Afternoon Practice: 3:45-5:30 PM

Saturday, July 31
Morning Practice: 9:30-11:15 AM
Afternoon Practice: 3:45-5:30 PM


Sunday, August 1
Morning Practice: 9:30-11:15 AM
Afternoon Practice: 3:45-5:30 PM

Monday, August 2
Morning Practice: 9:30-11:15 AM
Evening Practice: 7 PM

Tuesday, August 3
Morning Practice: 9:30-11:15 AM

All these practices are open to the general public and held on the practice fields behind Gillette Stadium, except for the Monday night session. That one is in the stadium and for season ticket holders only.
