The Journey begins here …

In 188 days, we’ll be in Arlington, Texas to crown the NFL’s 45th World Champion.

Today, we have no idea who the two teams fighting for that distinction will be.

But the long road to XLV is already underway. Training Camp 2010 has kicked off for all 32 teams, and we’re taking you guys along for the ride. I’ll be hitting camps up-and-down the East Coast to give you insight into the rest of the NFL, as my Globe teammates cover the Patriots A-to-Z back in Foxborough.

You might have noticed last night that we already got started with the Giants … And you can expect plenty more to come. We’ll have a Blog Postcard and my On Football column from each location, plus a video component.  You can find your hub for everything here too, with our interactive camp map. Couldn’t fit a tour bus into the budget, but I’ll be sure to fill you on everything that happens in the hotels, motels, rental cars and commuter flights over the next two-and-a-half weeks. Here’s how my schedule lays out …

July 29-31: Patriots (Foxborough, Mass.)
August 1: Giants (Albany, N.Y.)
August 2-3: Jets (Cortland, N.Y.)
August 3: Bills (Rochester, N.Y.)
August 4-5: Colts (Anderson, Ind.)
August 6: Ravens (Westminster, Md.)
August 7: Redskins (Ashburn, Va.)
August 8: Eagles (Bethlehem, Penn.)
August 10: Saints-Patriots joint practice (Foxborough, Mass.)
August 12: Saints-Patriots game (Foxborough, Mass.)
August 14: Dolphins-Buccaneers game (Miami Gardens, Fla.)
August 16: Dolphins (Davie, Fla.)
August 17: Patriots-Falcons joint practice (Flowery Branch, Ga.)
August 19: Patriots-Falcons game (Atlanta)

So while Shalise, Monique and Co. have you guys covered up at Gillette, I’m hoping to give you a taste of Training Camps across America. Today, the Jets … So keep it here and we’ll keep you informed. And maybe by the end of all this, we’ll have a more educated guess on who will take home the Big Prize at JerryWorld in February.
